I picked this post because it demonstrates my ability to combine two articles together. For example Scheuer’s ideas are linked to UNE’s Core Handbook ideas. I then combine the idea with the classes I’m taking at UNE that are related to the Core Curriculum. This homework demonstrates my ability to put together different authors and my point of view which shows Barclay paragraph.
In this homework I was able to associate the three readings that were about the liberal arts education. I associate Ungar, Scheuer, and the CAS Center Handbook and I made Barclay’s sections with text based their ideas with each other. This blog entry could meet the logical piece of the learning results since I’m giving my own understanding on their meanings on liberal arts education and how they are connected. I also tied up all of the author’s ideas and made a conclusion that citizenship was a big topic in all three of their articles.
I picked this one as example fo active reading because it shows my comprehension on the article and my summary on the article. I wrote about what I think of each sections of the article and the key ideas of them. I them used these key evidence as a example to tie back to a text to text evidence I can use in my paper. I think this homework shoed my reading comprehension on the article as well as my perspective on which sections to use as a evidence to my paper.
